My Story…
Hi everyone,
In May of 1998 Barnstable High School beloved trainer Frank Green gave the book, The Night is Dark and I’m Far from Home, by Jonathan Kozol. He signed it with instructions to, “don’t stay far from home.” Frank died this year and his passing was another reminder to never stay far from home. And it was also a reminder to support the people and organizations that make any place feel like home. The Y is home for many young people seeking a community that motivates and encourages them to pursue their personal, academic, and professional goals. This year I’m running the Falmouth roads race and I’m inviting you to join me in supporting the Y and others like Frank Green who mentored and encouraged so many of us.
