OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
This is my third year running the Falmouth Road Race for ALS ONE alongside my mom, Judi Carey. I worked at the Healey Center in ALS research for over two years and wanted to continue in the fight against ALS outside of work. I was beyond lucky and blessed to work with and for such an amazing population and community during my time at the Healey Center. The strength and resilience of my patients inspire me everyday.
I am running again in memory of my mom's dear friend Monica Higgins and all the patients I have worked with who have since passed, in particular two lovely ladies I worked on a trial with when I first started at the Healey Center as a research coordinator in July 2021. I am also running in honor of all those fighting this disease and their loved ones, including those who may carry an ALS gene. I hope to continue spreading awareness and advocating so that one day we live in a world where there is no ALS.

Your support means the world to me and to all of us and will help to advance critical research at MGH, UMass Medical School, and ALS TDI, while providing essential equipment such as lifts, ramps, wheelchairs and assistive technology devices to individuals currently living with ALS via our care team at Compassionate Care ALS - all incredible partners that make up ALS ONE.
