Description

Ausome Indy is a small, community based nonprofit organization that was created by a mom and an aunt of a boy with autism. In honor of him and in memory of their mother, who spent her life and professional career advocating for children in foster care and people with disabilities, Ausome Indy was formed in 2018. With the help of friends, family and colleagues, we began to serve children in foster care transitions with sensory, safety and communication support while they endured unpredictable life transitions and little or no behavioral health services.

From chewies, sensory kits, to spinning chairs, trampolines, crash pads, sensory socks, weighted blankets and door alarms - Ausome Indy works with foster families, DCS, case managers, gaurdian at litems, child advocates, caregivers and anyone who knows and loves someone with autism and is looking for support. Our journey has led us to creating network of more than 350 mothers of children with autism who have comes together to connect, share and celebrate their ausome lives. Ausome Indy Moms offers meetups, virtual support group and meetups, birthday club for kiddos, giveaways and care packages for moms, and so much more! We are a network created by moms, led by moms, for moms! As a volunteer run nonprofit, 100% of donations go directly to support these initiatives.
