My Story…
Throughout my entire life, I have always had a love for animals, but the discovery of the passion I have for rescue happened about 10 years ago with the adoption of my first two cocker spaniels, Baxter and Chance. These sweet dogs provided such unconditional love and companionship to me, I realized that I wanted to become more involved in helping pets find their forever, loving homes. I started volunteering with Gulf Coast Cocker Spaniel Rescue in Houston by assisting with adoption events and advocating for adoption, adopting my third cocker spaniel, Molly, and serving as a foster to a number of dogs by providing them with a loving, safe home until they found their forever homes.
Upon moving to Dallas, I have continued my animal welfare efforts by becoming involved with the SPCA of Texas by volunteering to walk dogs on the weekends, fostering, and serving as the Outreach Chair for the Young Professionals group, in which I have the opportunity to connect likeminded professionals who are passionate about animal welfare and the mission to end animal cruelty through the efforts of the SPCA of Texas.
This year, I am serving as a member of the Strut Your Mutt committee in the planning and preparation for the event taking place on April 13 at Fair Park in Dallas. By supporting Strut Your Mutt, the Race to End Animal Cruelty, you will be contributing to the lifesaving work the SPCA does every day to help protect the vulnerable animal population in the DFW area who do not have a voice, as well as provide the proper resources and care until these precious animals find their forever homes. Thank you for your consideration in supporting this important cause that is very near to my heart!
