2023 Scheels Healthy Human Race Volunteers
The Scheels Healthy Human Race would not be possible without the wonderful volunteers.
THANK YOU for volunteering your time to assist with race activities.
Volunteers are needed for the following dates:
- Thursday, August 24 for Packet pick-up
- Friday, August 25 for Packet pick-up
- Saturday, August 26 for Race Day
Volunteer check-in:
- Thursday, August 24 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm
- Volunteers working 1st shift of packet pick-up start at 2:30
- Friday, August 25 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm
- Volunteers working 1st shift of packet pick-up start at 2:30
- Receive assignment instructions, race map, and t-shirt

Packet Pick-up
Hand out race bags, bibs, chips, shirts, and assist with same day registration
- Thursday: Scheels - 2nd floor
- Friday: Scheels - 2nd floor
- Saturday: Soldiers Field Track
Race Day Activities
Volunteer Assignment | Description |
Course Checker | Verify course is clearly marked and put volunteer flags up. |
Food Set-up | Unpack and arrange food, water, and sports beverages. |
Food Distribution and Clean-up | Distribute food to finishers and clean area after race completion. |
Start/Finish Line Set-up | Assist in setting up start and finish line. |
Bag Drop | Verify bib number is on bag and secure bags. |
Bag Pick-up | Hand out bags after verifying bib number. |
Timing Assistant | Record bib numbers as race participants cross the finish line. |
Belt Retrieval | Remove relay runner's chip. |
Medals | Give race participants medals and congratulate them. |
Finish Line Tear Down and Clean-up | Assist in finish line tear down and cleaning area. |
Driver | Take supplies to RRC shed, return water to Culligan, take left over food to charity, other various locations. |
