We are excited to host the 23rd annual Great Buffalo Trace 5K, on Thursday, July 4th, at 8:00 AM. Registration fee is $25 before June 26; $30 thereafter. The race will be a chip-timed race and limited to the first 750 runners. Register to participate before July 2, at 12pm.
Registered participants will have the option to pick up race materials, which include a commemorative t-shirt and bib, from Buffalo Trace Distillery on July 3 from 2pm – 7pm or day of race starting at 6:30am. All registration proceeds benefit the Frankfort Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4075.
Cash Prizes will be awarded for the top three overall male and female runners after the race concludes. Third place will receive $2,000, second place will receive $2,500 and first place will receive $3,000. Additionally, a $1,000 bonus will be awarded to the first female and male who beat the Great Buffalo Chase record finish time of 13:41 for male runners and 15:26 for female runners. Awards will also be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
All walkers and runners are invited to dress in their best patriotic attire! Special awards will be given for the most patriotic attire after the race concludes.
Race times will be posted on the Buffalo Trace Distillery website on July 5.

In-Person Registration

For in-person pick-up. Please park in the Visitor Parking Lot. Follow signs from the parking lot to the Clubhouse for packet pick-up.
Virtual Registration
Can’t join us in-person? We invite you to join the 23rd annual Great Buffalo Chase 5K© virtually! Participate by walking or running from the location of your choice. The virtual race can be completed any time between July 2 – July 4. Register to participate before July 2, at 12pm. Registration fee is $25 before June 26; $30 thereafter.
All participants will have race materials mailed to them, which include a commemorative t-shirt, for an added $10 shipping & handling fee. Register by Tuesday, June 27 to allow race materials to be shipped and delivered in time for the race.
