Four fantastic races. One incredibly inspirational day.

Join us for the second annual St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest as we return four signature events to the Lehigh Valley.


Starting in downtown Allentown at 8:00 a.m.:

  • St. Luke’s D&L Marathon
  • St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay

Starting in Historic Downtown Bethlehem at 7:30 a.m.:

  • D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, Presented by St. Luke’s
  • D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk, Presented by St. Luke’s

All four races will end with a post-race party in beautiful downtown Easton at the scenic confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh rivers.


Both the marathon and half marathon use the D&L Trail for a majority of their courses. The trail follows the Lehigh River for a gentle net elevation drop with fine gravel or pavement depending on the section. Participants can expect a beautiful trail, joint-friendly terrain, and crisp autumn temperatures.

We are grateful to welcome back title sponsor St. Luke’s University Health Network as an advocate for trails and a wellness champion across our region.

Proceeds will benefit Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc., a 501(c)3, for heritage and environmental programming as well as the ongoing development and promotion of the D&L Trail. Your participation will move the D&L Trail toward becoming the longest multi-use trail in Pennsylvania, stretching over 165 miles from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol.


Deadline for personalized race bibs: September 26. (Relay teams, too!)

Deadline for guaranteed shirt size: October 7.

Registration closes November 3 or when field limits have been hit.

St. Luke's D&L Marathon Closed

  • The Lehigh Valley's marathon! Run a USATF-certified, Boston-qualifying course from downtown Allentown (including some miles in Little Lehigh Parkway) to Easton, much of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. The D+L Trail follows the Lehigh River for a net downhill course with a maintained surface of fine gravel or macadam. Must be able to complete marathon distance in 6.5 hours. Minimum age 18. Field capped at 440 racers in 2024.

  • D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Walk presented by St. Luke's Closed

    The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon! Walk from historic downtown Bethlehem to Easton, most of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Select this option ONLY if you will commit to walking EVERY step of the race. No running! Please choose the run/walk category if you plan to combine walking and running -- even if you plan to run only the last stretch to the finish. (We will have race marshals on the course and will disqualify any walkers seen without at least one foot in contact with ground at all times.) You’ll complete the same half marathon course at your walking pace and receive the same swag and amenities as the runners. We have set a walking time limit of 4.5 hours to minimize congestion on the trail with the marathoners coming from Allentown. And we will have a 4.5-hour pacer. However, if you need a bit more time, the course will remain open for the marathoners. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission.

  • D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Run/Walk presented by St. Luke's Closed

    Select this category if you will combine running and walking the half marathon event. Your result will be timed as a runner. If you will commit to ONLY walking, please select the walking category. Must be able to complete half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission.

St. Luke's D&L Marathon Relay CAPTAIN Closed

  • Captain a five-person team to tackle the marathon distance. The relay course mirrors the full marathon course: downtown Allentown to downtown Easton. Visit race.delawareandlehigh.org for leg lengths and exchange locations. (Relay teams are responsible for their own transportation to exchange points and back to the start.) Relay captains must be 18 years of age or older. Field capped at 75 teams in 2024.

St. Luke's D&L Marathon Relay MEMBERS Closed

Join a team only after your team CAPTAIN has paid your team's entry fee. Be sure to select your team name to make sure you are assigned to the proper team. Minimum age 10; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission.
