Volunteer Roles and Descriptions
Join the fun as a volunteer! You can participate in multiple roles, locations, and time frames. We have opportunities for any skillset, timeframe and location throughout the Lehigh Valley.

For Groups: We would love to have your organization, school group or business volunteer at one of our Water Stations. Water Stations are located along the course. Email us at racefest@delawareandlehigh.org with the subject line "Water Station" for more info.
For Cyclists: We are looking for a few competent (and patient) cyclists to be Bike Leads and Bike Sweeps for the entire length of the Marathon and Half-Marathon. Shoot us an email if you are interested at racefest@delawareandlehigh.org.

Role: Start Line Assistance - Marathon Start | Location: Marathon Start Time: 5:30 am - 7:45 am | What to Expect: Assist crew with barricades, tents, signs, and direct marathoners to proper corrals and portapotties Skills Needed: Previous experience at a race is preferable |
Role: Gear Check - Marathon Start | Location: Marathon Start Time: 6:00 am - 8:30 am | What to Expect: Grab, label and place marathoners checked bags with UPS Skills Needed: Ability to lift light loads and write labels |
Role: Relay Exchange 1 Assistance | Location: Relay Exchange 1 / Marathon Mile 7.1 Time: 8:00 am - 10:00 am | What to Expect: Identify relay racers coming in, and help new relay racers get out on time Skills Needed: Previous experience at a race is preferable |
