My Story…
I'm excited to share that I'm running a 5k to raise money for mental health. This cause means a lot to me, and I want to tell you why.
From the earliest memory I have, I've struggled with mental illness. In early adulthood, I realized if I didn't give myself a fighting chance, I may not have any chances left. So I fought, advocated, and worked hard for my life.
Exercise has played a big role in healing my relationship with my mental, physical, and emotional health. By September 22, 2024, I will be 1 year, 10 months, and 29 days sober from alcohol, and 5 years and 21 days free from self-harm. Every step I take is for better mental health, for myself and for others.
This 5k is more than just a race. It's a chance to support organizations that provide crucial resources for people dealing with mental health issues. Every dollar we raise will go towards making a real difference. I'm asking for your support. Whether you can donate, spread the word, or cheer me on, it all helps.
Together, we can help break the stigma around mental health.
