Los Angeles – a city of dreams and stark contrasts. As an artist, I've seen the struggle of poverty firsthand, the feeling of being trapped in a system designed to hold you back. But I refused to give in. I worked my way out, climbing from that system to become Director of Communications at SBCC, a non-profit dedicated to ending poverty through social change. I'm living proof that change is possible. I'm walking in WalkUnitedLA to break those cycles for others. Together, we can build this city into the place we envision – a place of opportunity and hope for all people.
