Hi everyone! As some of you know, I've been studying to take the board exam for music therapy and will be a music therapist with McConnell Music Therapy Services, working in the Pediatric Units and NICU in Sutter Sacramento!

Music therapy in the pediatric medical setting mainly address positive / alternate engagement, developmentally appropriate stimuli, autonomy, and family support. Depending on the patient, we can address more goals including emotional support, motor skills, socialization; the list can go on.
