Our story…
As you all know, I lost my beautiful son Joe on Feb 13, 2020. My life has never been the same. The only good thing to come of this senseless tragedy, was that Joe saved the lives of 4 people. (Of course he did!) For the past three years, I’ve been an “Ambassador of Life” volunteer through Donor Network West. Two years ago, I met his heart recipient, Ted. I have always told Ted that Joe’s heart went to the perfect person. I truly believe that. Ted and I have built a lasting friendship that includes doing volunteer events together. Last year at the DNW 5K, we were both invited to be a part of the One Legacy Donate Life float. Ted got to ride on the float, and Joe’s amazing floragraph (Thank you, Susan!!) was right above him! This is the third year that Team Joe has participated in this wonderful event. Please consider donating this year, as Donor Network West is very near and dear to my heart.
