My Story…
Losing my wife’s nana to pancreatic cancer and my mother to breast cancer has altered my life in ways that I can’t describe. My grandmother Marilyn has been lucky to beat her battle with pancreatic cancer. After losing my mother in July of 22’, my wife was then diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia in January of 23’. Cancer has been a plague on our family and whatever I can do to help honor these women I will do.
Description
Help me continue to raise funds to support those battling cancer in the Wiregrass. Since 2008, the Champions of Hope event brought cutting edge cancer treatments and programs into our community. Your efforts really do make an impact in the lives of those fighting cancer, and 100% of the donations stay right here at HOME.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, the Southeast Health Foundation has been able to fund:
- Cancer Navigation Services
- 3D Mammography
- PET/CT Scanner
- Chemotherapy suites
- Transportation services
- Customized information reference binders for newly diagnosed patients
- Post-mastectomy comfort kits
