Raise money for Canadian Mental Health Association Vancouver Fraser
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser (CMHA-VF) believes everyone deserves to be mentally healthy and to live in a healthy community. By providing community-based mental health education, services, and supports for children, youth, adults, and seniors, we contribute to the long-term health and well-being of our communities. We are transforming mental health and wellness practice for individuals, communities, and organizations, through programs and services that are rooted in innovation, inclusion and collaboration.
We are particularly proud to highlight our Resilient Minds® program, a trauma-informed, peer-led psychological health awareness training initiative designed specifically for first responders across Canada. This program equips first responders with the skills to recognize the effects of psychological stress and trauma in themselves and their peers, understand trauma-informed practices, and communicate effectively with colleagues who may be struggling. Participants learn how to respond safely and appropriately to distressed citizens while also applying personal strategies for managing stress, mitigating trauma, and boosting resilience.
We are honored to be one of the charities of choice for the First Responders Trail Run, supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting our communities.
