The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a tradition meant to honor the 343 firefighters who lost their lives in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Participants climb or walk the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center to symbolically complete their heroic journey to save others.
The only event of its kind in the region, the San Diego 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a unique and powerful experience shared by thousands of patriots every year. Annually, hundreds of Firefighters, Public Safety Officers, civilians, and family members gather at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront to honor the memories of the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to create an experience none of us will ever forget.
