Join Us in Supporting BALANCE and TRAILBLAZER in This Year's EyeRide!
I'm thrilled to represent the BALANCE on Cycles team in this year's EyeRide, a 65km cycling event!
Biking has been a passion of mine since childhood. However, after experiencing vision loss, I thought those days were behind me. Thankfully, a few years ago, a friend introduced me to Trailblazer, where I regained the confidence to ride again. My vision loss opened up new experiences, and riding a tandem bike has been one of the most joyful and rewarding parts of this journey. Every ride is a learning experience filled with joy and discovery.
As my confidence has grown, so has my involvement in technology. I recently graduated as an assistive technology instructor apprentice. I've seen firsthand how tools like screen readers and magnification software can change lives, boosting confidence and independence. But BALANCE is more than just me—we're a dedicated team offering a wide range of services to support those with vision loss as a whole.
