Raise money for Five Points Community Collaborative

What is Five Points Plaza? Five Points Plaza is a public space created to build community, reflect the identity, culture, and history of the historically Black community surrounding it, and embrace the diverse community it serves. The Plaza sits on City property and the physical property is maintained by the City of Charlotte.

The Plaza has a splash pad on one side of Rozzelles Ferry Road and an amphitheatre on the other. It's fun to watch the kids play in the splash pad during the hot weather, and it's also calming just to watch the fountains dance, while eating lunch. The Charlotte Symphony has played at the amphitheatre, as well as solo musicians.  Yoga, boot camps, and other classes have been taught there. Some nights there are movies, and on very special nights, Santa has appeared. Regardless of the side, individuals and groups can relax, be entertained, eat a meal, and converse with friends under the red umbrellas or on the yellow swings. Come experience it!

Who is Five Points Community Collaborative? Five Points Community Collaborative is made up of representatives from three neighborhoods around the Five Points Plaza: Wesley Heights, Seversville, and Biddleville-Smallwood. Its mission is to promote the growth and maintain the integrity of the Five Points Cultural Arts and Education District by putting neighborhoods in the lead.

As of Fall 2024, Five Points Community Collaborative manages the programming of Five Points Plaza. That's the planning and execution of most of the activities at the Plaza. Currently, this is funded by a generous donation from the Knight Foundation and the inaugural sponsors of the Plaza: Atrium, Lowe's, Jet's Pizza, and M&F Bank.

What does being a friend of Five Points Plaza mean? Being a friend is sharing and supporting. The hope is to make the programming at Five Points Plaza sustainable and community driven. To do this, we need friends. We would love you to help us with events by volunteering, or you could host events such as business or family gatherings, or you could donate money to help: $5, $20, $50, $100, $1,000, it's up to you, or you could sponsor a public event ... or 2!

Being a good friend is mutual. Our community would like to know you and support your growth. Contact us at info@fivepointsplaza.com.

This is our opportunity to personally say thank you for your future support and commitment to Five Points Plaza. We will create great things Together!
