My Story…
I am running to commemorate and bring awareness to the loved ones lost to suicide in Pikangikum First Nation, coined "the suicide capital of the world" in 2012. I hope to support suicide prevention in Pikangikum, First Nations communities in Northern Ontario, and Indigenous peoples in Canada at large, who all face unique challenges accessing mental health services.
