My Story…

Brooks was our BIG miracle. He was our answered prayer after over 3 years of trying for a baby. He was our little IVF miracle. His pregnancy was filled with so much joy. I had gestational diabetes and so before one of our appointments on September 19th to see the high risk doctor, we found out I had an incompetent cervix and was in labor. I was dilated to 3cm at only 21 weeks. We were rushed to Piedmont Henry where I was put on bed rest and not able to sit up or get out of bed. What felt like years was only 5 days. I was given medicine to hopefully put off labor. We were unsuccessful and Brooks did not survive birth. He walked straight into the arms of Jesus September 23,2023 at 3:26 PM. He weighed 15.5 ounces and was 10 inches long. He was stunning and beautiful. He was 22w2d. We had the sweetest of care while at the hospital. While today is incredibly painful for my family it is a day that we rejoice knowing Brooks is touching lives even though he is not here.
