We are celebrating our ovarian cancer survivor Kim! Two weeks before the onset of the covid-19 pandemic, she was hit with life altering news- a stage 2 ovarian cancer diagnosis. After months of delay, a nurse advocated for her to have surgery to remove the tumor and begin chemo radiation. Through a long surgery, chemotherapy, strong faith in God, health advocacy, and the determined nature she was born with- Kim rang the bell in August 2020 and has been cancer free since! Kim is now completing a phD and will become the family's first doctor. We told you she's determined.
