My Story…
This year, this event happens to fall on the anniversary of my last seizure - it will be 6 amazing years of being seizure free!
I was inspired to run the 5k instead of walk it this year so I'm super excited to accomplish this goal in my fitness journey!
My hubby, David, will be joining me in the run and my incredible mom will be walking with my kids.
I'm running for all of the purple warriors that fight relentlessly again Epilepsy. I'm running for the patients spending time in the EMU at University Hospital. I will never forget my time in the EMU, it was eye opening and life changing for me. Thank you to the wonderful staff at University Hospital for continuing to support and improve the lives of people with Epilepsy.
I was so very fortunate to have a successful Temporal lobe lobectomy on October 3rd 2018!!! I will always be grateful for the life I have after brain surgery.
