Outrun The Stigma Annual Run
May 25, 2024
Join us for the annual Outrun the Stigma Edmonton Run and Mental Health Expo! Originally founded by students at the University of Calgary, Outrun the Stigma has grown from a passionate student initiative into a vital not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health.
This inspiring event features a community run that brings together students, community members, and volunteers, all united in the cause to promote mental health awareness. Since our inception in October 2013, we have engaged over 4,500 individuals and raised more than $190,000 to support local mental health organizations in Calgary and Edmonton.
Event Highlights
Community Run: Lace up your shoes and hit the pavement in support of mental health. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Mental Health Expo: After the run, explore our expo featuring local community organizations, businesses, and charities all working towards mental health initiatives.
Guest Speakers: Hear from local community members who will share their personal experiences with mental health, offering insights and inspiring stories of resilience and hope.
This event not only provides a platform for those affected by mental health issues to share their stories but also raises crucial funds to support ongoing mental health initiatives. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, your involvement makes a significant impact.
Register today and help us continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health while supporting your community in a meaningful way.
