Raise money for Flower Petals Adaptive Dance
Welcome to our Fundraising Page for the Doug Flutie 5K Race October 27th 2024 | Leonard Morse Hospital, Natick, MA. Thank you so much for clicking on our link.
We are planning to pull together a team of Runners/walkers and will be looking for donations to support our efforts as we make a day trip to Natick MA. All of the Proceeds raised for FlowerPetals for the Event will be gifted back to our organization. This is fantastic opportunity for us to fund our operating budget, create some buzz, and network with other organizations that support individuals with Autism.
Why Donate to us?
Although we are a volunteer-based organization, we still have operational costs with a basic operating budget of $10,000 per year. We have studio rent to pay, and our dance instructors are paid professionals, so we have basic fixed costs that we are obligated to meet.
We do not want to pressure or lock-in our parents with a heavy financial burden and fundraising offsets the costs that we would need to be charging parents to keep the program going. We understand that scheduling and making commitments for our families can be very challenging.
We are so very fortunate to have a beautiful studio in Greenwich’s most sought-after address – The Famous Greenwich Avenue! We are walking distance to Metro North, across from Starbucks: - ) located in the Greenwich Arts Council Building. Parents are encouraged to enjoy some Respite with our Drop-Off programming, welcome to grab a sip and stroll through The Greenwich Art Gallery located just 1 floor below the dance studio.
We currently offer 4 Classes:
(1. Jungle Mice - a toddler’s class for music and movement.)
(2. Beginning Dance class - fun high energy class featuring favorites like Freeze Dance, Hokeypokey, Parachute games, songs from The wiggles and other Kids Bop)
(3. Hip-hop Zumba Mash-up with Simone Assboeck. Simone is a professional dance instructor www.dancetogethernyc.com )
(4. Adult Ballet - structured classical ballet, mat, floor, bar and center work taught by professional level competition dancers)
All of the classes are staffed with high school students who are volunteering their time. We aim to provide a 1:1 ratio of Students to Buddies.
If we were to Fundraise a larger amount, we would be interested in opening up another class, we have had some interest in Creative Movement and Contemporary Classes, but this would mean hiring a new teacher and adding studio rent to our contract. It would be nice as well to be able to give back to our volunteers in some way as a thank you or even hold a big end of the year party for our community. We currently just don't have any extra wiggle room to spend on extras for the studio and would really appreciate your support.
