My Story…

Hello friends - I’m back for an 8th year of fundraising!

The Salvation Army Gateway is a cause close to my heart and we need your help raising funds.

Cameron Stephens and myself personally believe in the downtown, not just the office, but the vibrancy it brings to our city. I’m downtown almost every day and anecdotally I’ve seen an increase in the numbers of those living in or on the edge of poverty.

The Gateway shelter is a real lifeline that makes a lasting impact.  All funds raised through the Santa Shuffle will be used to operate The Gateway’s Drop-in program in 2025. This program provides safety, warmth, hot meals and a sense of community to those that need it most—typically these are individuals sleeping rough or who can’t afford groceries after they’ve paid their rent. Your contribution will have a direct impact on people experiencing poverty and homelessness in our city.

I’m proud to say last year my good friend Jake Aiken and I finished #1 and #2 for funds raised nationally and Jake has been promoted to the head of more than 8 Salvation Army shelters in the GTA as a direct result of the amazing impact he left on the downtown Gateway Shelter.

For some more perspective, over the last 7 years Cameron Stephens has raised close to $300,000 through individual fundraising and corporate matching.

Last year alone I raised ~$14,000 and the collective Cameron Stephens raised ~$50,000 – This is almost 50% of the Gateway’s entire annual budget!

For every dollar I raise Cameron Stephens will match as a donation to the charity (on top of our event sponsorship).

My personal goal this year is to raise $15,000 individually!
