We RAN a 5K on the RUNWAY at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport!
The first annual “Jordan’s Run the Runway” run and walk event inspired by Jordan Strickland was an exciting evening at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport. Thanks to our sponsors, donors and runners we raised almost $15,000 for the Chatham YMCA - to ensure everyone has access to YMCA programs and services.

Looking to do the 5K race on your own schedule and at your own location of choice? This is the event for you! Support a great cause while doing something great for your health. You can use any app to track your time such as RunKeeper, or if you prefer a more laid back approach just post your results on our results page or a selfie using the hashtag #YMCARTR when you are done - no time required! Instructions will be sent to all registered participants in September. Virtual Race is NOT eligible for finishing prizes.

About Jordan
Jordan Strickland inspired "Jordan's Run the Runway" 5K run and walk series. For the first time, Jordan's Run the Runway is coming to the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport! All funds raised will stay local to the Sarnia-Lambton community, and support the Y's financial assistance program so that everybody can access the Y.
"Jordan loved new adventures, and he was not afraid to try anything. One of the things he loved most in life was going to the YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth on Beausoleil Island, where he attended many summers as a camper, and nine years as a volunteer counsellor.
Jordan would be turning 37 this year, and we are so grateful for the many friends he met over the years, and who he introduced to us. Thank you so much for Running the Runway to remember our amazing Jordan, and also for his CQE and Siskinds families and friends.

Race bib pick up will begin at 5:30pm at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport on Friday September 13th. Please pick up your race kit between 5:30pm-6:15pm.
