I will be participating in the Walk for Civil Liberties, a fundraising walk to support the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) on October 27, 2024. The rights of vulnerable and marginalized people are increasingly under attack in Canada, and the increasing (or threat to) use of the notwithstanding clause by provincial governments is deeply concerning. If ever there was a time to support the fight for rights and freedoms it is NOW! Please join the walk, in person or virtually to support our fight for equality, fundamental freedoms like free speech and protest rights, legal rights of accused persons, privacy rights, and so much more. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting CCLA's work for justice and rights for all people in Canada, and generous donor is matching all gifts up to $65,000.
