My Story…
Ollie is 12 years old and has been a powerful martial artist with Kids Kicking Cancer Canada Ottawa since October 2020. He was blind, 3 minths out of stem cell transplant and in a wheelchair when he first started. He is currently an orange belt and is determined to one day becoming a Sensei himself. In 2019 at 7 years old he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma ALK Positive. After twobrounds of chemo, he relapsed in his central nervous system, causing him to go blind and require a stem cell transplant. After a second relapse in his brain and spine, he finally got his transplant with his sister's half match stem cells in July 2020. Since fall off 2020 he has worked with Kids Kicking Cancer Canada Ottawa Chapter to get stronger mentally and physically. It helped him to build confidence and strength and understand that he could do anything with his #PowerPeacePurpose. Today he is an orange-green belt and a para-athlete, and a childhood cancer and vision loss advocate.
