Help our TEAM WIN a competitive advantage!
From 1996 to 2000, I proudly served in the United States Air Force, including a deployment to Albania during the Kosovo conflict. While I came back from my service without lasting injuries or horrifying memories, I know from my experience that many military members carry wounds that aren’t visible — the kind that most people don’t understand. Veterans often struggle with the things they saw and experienced during their service, and it’s a burden that too many carry alone.
This is why I feel compelled to help. Tragically, more than 20 Veterans a day succumb to suicide. I believe that number should be ZERO, and I’m working with Mission Zero Hundred Hours (MZHH), a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to preventing Veteran suicide through competitive culinary arts. This cause is deeply personal to me, and it’s a way for me to give back to the community that shaped who I am. MZHH provides Veterans with life-changing culinary experiences that channel their energy toward healthy goals, while helping them develop valuable life skills.
In military time, 00:00 (Zero Hundred Hours) marks the start of a new day. For Veterans struggling with mental health, MZHH represents that fresh start — an opportunity to heal and rebuild.
I’ve been selected to cook for Team Air Force in the "Battle of the Branches: WFC Edition", a culinary competition where military branch teams face off in two challenges: the Taco Battle and the MRE Challenge. The team that raises the most donations will gain a competitive advantage, and I’m asking for your support to help Team Air Force succeed.
Your donation will not only give us a boost in the competition, but more importantly, it will contribute to the mission of bringing that number of 20 Veteran suicides per day down to ZERO.
Donate today and help make a difference in the lives of those who have served. Together, we can support our Veterans as they start their next chapter with hope and strength.
Description
Help my team fundraise their way into a competitive advantage while raising awareness for, and reducing Veteran suicide.
Mission Zero Hundred Hours (MZHH) is a 501(c)(3) charity focused on Veteran suicide prevention and awareness through competitive culinary arts.
Currently, 20 or more Veterans a day succumb to suicide. We feel this number should be ZERO.
In military time 00:00 (Zero Hundred Hours) is the start of a new day. Mission Zero Hundred Hours, in its name, is the start of a new day for many struggling Veterans. We provide life-changing competitive culinary arts experiences to Veterans that help them channel their energies toward healthy goals while developing culinary life skills.
The “Battle of the Branches: WFC Edition” is a culinary competition unlike any other. Military branch teams, consisting of Veterans or service members, are led by experienced coaches through preliminary rounds, and a finals round to determine the best culinary branch of service.
The branch teams will square off in the preliminary round with the Taco Battle. The branch team with the highest score will represent their branch, against all other branches, in the finals with the MRE Challenge. The winning branch will have a year of bragging rights as the best culinary branch of service!
The team that raises the most in donations will receive a competitive advantage helping them achieve victory!
Help your team complete their mission and donate today!
