Supporting Seniors, Engaging Generations

Advancing Healthy Aging through Volunteerism in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties

Eras Senior Network’s mission is to engage and support seniors, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers in leading meaningful lives. We empower older adults (60+) to live independently and with dignity by offering essential services tailored to their needs at no charge to our clients. Our services, carried out by dedicated volunteers, include transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores, seasonal yard clean-up, and friendly phone calls to reduce isolation.

In 2023, our volunteers provided 18,230 rides, made 361 yards safer, and conducted 8,324 calls to help seniors stay connected. These efforts benefit older adults and provide much-needed respite to family caregivers, helping them balance their own well-being with caregiving responsibilities.

Beyond client services, we foster intergenerational relationships through our AmeriCorps Retired and Seniors Volunteer Program. Our volunteers provide math and reading tutoring for elementary students and facilitate a Pen Pal program during the school year.
