My Story
Every year, I lace up, put on my leopard outfit, and head over to the Toronto Zoo to run for wildlife conservation! The Toronto Zoo does more than just connect the people of Ontario with creatures from around the world. Their research, breeding programs, and habitat conservation work ensures that future generations of people and animals can all enjoy life on this planet.
Description
With a fundraising goal of $100,000, every dollar raised will directly support your Toronto Zoo’s new entrance and state-of-the-art Community Conservation Centre - a dynamic new front entrance that will transform the guest experience and provide hands-on learning spaces designed to ignite and equip the next generation to take action for conservation.
When completed, the Toronto Zoo Community Conservation Centre will be a tangible reminder of your commitment to protecting wildlife and wild spaces for years to come.
With your support, this new Community Conservation Centre will:
- Empower the next generation of conservationists by providing transformative educational opportunities that equip them with the knowledge and skills to protect wildlife and wild spaces.
- Engage youth and the broader community through hands-on learning experiences that spark meaningful action to protect the planet and nurture future leaders.
- Offer free-access spaces that connect the public with Canadian species like River otters and Blanding’s turtles, allowing everyone—whether local youth or global visitors—to engage with and contribute to our conservation efforts.
The need has never been more urgent, and each of us has the power to make a meaningful impact. By supporting the Oasis ZooRun, you’re becoming part of the solution to protect the natural world for future generations.
