My Story…
Hi everyone!
I'm Abigail, Director of Development for ARC Foundation, queer mom and passionate community member. Growing up in Southern Alberta, I did not have the tools or support to even know that that feeling of being just a little bit different than my friends, was actually my queerness in its early days.
Now as a parent, the world my daughter lives in IS better, it IS safer but it is also still scary - for her and for us. This is why working to support SOGI-inclusive education, and now fundraising to ensure that educators can create safe schools for 2SLGBTQ+ students, is so important.
I am so excited to be joining my colleagues at ARC as we walk to raise money and invite you to join us!
