My Story…
I was diagnosed in 2021 after going in for my first mammogram a few months after my 40th birthday. To hear I had breast cancer was a shock to begin with, but after initial scans showed it had spread to my liver and that I was stage 4, I was totally devastated . It took me a long while to accept the hand I had been dealt and to adjust to my new normal. I underwent chemo, radiation, and three surgeries. I am blessed and grateful to still be on my first line of treatment (herceptin and perjeta) and I continue to have clear scans 4 years after diagnosis. However, I know many in my shoes do not experience this same outcome, and I am determined to help raise funds to develop new treatments that can benefit everyone. Stage 4 needs more! Help us to raise funds in support of MBC patients everywhere!
