Help Andy raise money

Hey folks,

Thank you again for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page this year,

This is my 6th year participating as a staff member in JCYC's Aloha Run... Most of you have donated repeatedly through the years whether I have asked you personally or you just noticed me share something about it. I appreciate your support every time. It reminds me that other people care about making a difference in a young person's life as much as I do.

In previous fundraisers, we have shared the proceeds from our event with community partners or beneficiaries whose mission we want to stand behind. 

This year, we have to face the sh***y reality that our own funding is actively under attack by the current presidential administration in the United States. Our own mission to provide equal opportunities in higher education to first generation and low-income students has been systematically undermined and devalued. TRIO programs nationwide may be stripped of funding, leaving young people they serve to bridge the financial gap to their own future, themselves.

That is why this year, we will donate 100% of the proceeds from our event to our participant scholarship programs. Your money will go directly towards the cost of supporting a young person in San Francisco go to college. 

Now is the time to show up for the young people who need it most, and remind the rest of the country that we won't just let financial resources meant for the futures of these children disappear.
