Infertility has shaped our story in ways we never imagined. 7 miscarriages, 4 IUIs and 7 IVF cycles later, we continue to walk forward with hope, resilience and deep desire for change. This weekend we'll be walking the Fertility Matters 6K for 1 in 6. 

Fertility care in Canada remains largely inaccessible. Few provinces offer funding, and most costs -- often over $20,000 per IVF cycle -- are out of pocket. It takes an average 3.6 IVF cycles to achieve pregnancy. In many regions no clinics offer funding. Most Canadian employers don't include fertility/family building in their benefits. Some provinces/territories only have a couple clinics. 

1 in 6 Canadians experience infertility. I am 1 in 6. I will be walking for our losses, our journey, my infertility sisters and to raise awareness and advocacy efforts. Donations go to FMC programs to raise awareness and advocacy efforts aimed at achieving equitable access to fertility care.
