Crushin' It for a Cure 5k
September 21st at 9am
Lewes, DE
My name is Johnna Scott, and I’m organizing the Crushin' it for a Cure 5K run/walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This cause is deeply personal to me — in 2023, my husband was diagnosed with cancer, and our journey since then has been one of resilience, support, and gratitude. Now, we’re determined to give back — both to the research foundation that brings hope and to the community that stood by us.
The goal of this 5K is to raise both awareness and critical funds for cancer research and patient support through LLS. But to make this event possible, we’re seeking generous sponsors to help cover costs such as runner hydration, post-race snacks, food, race materials, and — most importantly — direct contributions to cancer research.
Whether you’re able to participate in the run, sponsor, donate goods, or simply help spread the word, your support means the world — not just to my family, but to every family affected by cancer.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly at johnnakscott@gmail.com if you'd like to get involved, have any questions, or need additional event details. Together, we can take steps — literally and figuratively — toward a future without cancer.
