My Story…
In recognition of Migraine and Headache Awareness Month, I am showcasing one of my mixed media paintings that personifies the invisible symptoms of my Chronic Vestibular Migraine. It represents the recurring episodes of vertigo, often accompanied by imbalance, lightheadedness, and nausea, in tandem with a persistent headache with sharp, stabbing pain felt in my head and eyes. It illustrates an aura that causes vision disturbance, such as blurry or double vision, temporary vision loss, and sparkling lights evocative of shooting stars. It symbolizes the darkness of depression, anxiety, and confused thinking.
