My Story…
On January 8th, 2017, just two days after my wedding, I boarded a flight to Canada to begin a new chapter of life. That date has always held deep meaning in my calendar. Later that year, in November, I gave birth to my first child, my son, whom we named Givan (ژيوان).
Exactly three years later, on January 8th, 2020, Flight PS752 was shot down by the Islamic Regime. I was seven months pregnant at the time. Among the 177 innocent lives lost was a little boy, the same name, the same age, as my own son. His mother was also pregnant, carrying a second child who never had the chance to be born.
Since that night, nothing in my life has ever felt the same! The pain of this brutal crime shattered so many lives, and its echo still lingers every single day.
This year, my son and I are walking for all the mothers and children on that flight. We are running to honor their memories, to remind the world of their beauty, and to stand in solidarity with every family torn apart by the tragedy of PS752.
Justice is not a sprint — it is a marathon. It takes time, persistence, and community. With your support, we can keep their memories alive, and we can carry forward the fight for truth and accountability.
Please consider joining us or donating. Every step we take is for them, and every contribution brings us closer to justice.
