My Story…

For the third year in a row members of the Port Macquarie SES are again hitting the streets to walk and run 1300 km's over 19 days to raise awareness of the problem we have in Australia with family and domestic violence. Any money raised goes into funding education programmes in schools to teach teenagers what healthy relationships look like and where to get help if needed through NAPCAN. They run the Love Bites programme. Please help the volunteers of the Port Macquarie SES unit raise as much money as we can to help this great cause.

Description

Help give young Australians access to healthy relationship education.

During the 2025 RAV Virtual Team Challenge, 100% of donations made via registration and fundraising pages will go directly to NAPCAN, funding facilitator training, program adaptations, and the implementation of program delivery systems. Donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible.

Run Against Violence has partnered with the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) to ensure that every Australian teenager has access to high-quality, respectful relationship education.

Love Bites is Australia’s premier program, and over the past five years, Run Against Violence has invested $500,000 in its national expansion. This is the largest investment by a non-government entity in the program's history. As a result of this investment, 1,068 program facilitators have been trained across 360 local government areas in Australia, with 70% located in regional, rural, and remote communities.
