My Story…
In January 2023, after years of unexplained health issues, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. I’ll never forget lying on the examination table, overwhelmed with emotion. A doctor had finally validated what I had known all along—my pain was real.
Since then, I’ve undergone two laparoscopic surgeries, exactly a year apart. Endometriosis is a constant sacrifice. The flare-ups I experience are so severe they often land me back in the hospital. It’s exhausting, painful, and isolating. And yet, I keep going.
I wouldn’t be here today without the constant love and support of my amazing family and friends. They’ve been there for me through every setback, every surgery, and every late-night emergency—no matter the hour. Their strength helps me find mine.
I’m running this 5K not just for myself, but for the millions of others silently battling this disease every day. Through every step of this run, I’m raising my voice—for better treatments, more understanding, and one day, a cure.
