My Story…
It took 10 years for me to receive the diagnosis that would change my life. 10 years of being told I was fine, it was all in my head, nothing was wrong.
This is not normal.
It's not normal to feel cysts rupture inside you, to lose so much blood you're on iron supplements, to feel your insides churning about day after day. It's not normal to wear tampons and pads at the same time all the time, to stay home from school or work from unexplained nausea. It's not normal to faint when you're walking to the kitchen, to have no energy after a 12-hour sleep, to leave events because the pain is too much to bear.
This is not a life. But this is life with endo.
It’s constant medical appointments, no answers, trying every form of birth control and sacrificing more pain for less bleeding or more bleeding for less pain. It's pain medication, heat bags, tears, and frustration because there's nothing they can do for you.
10% of women live like this. We deserve not to.
