My Story…
💜 Our baby brother Chris Jonasson, was a highly intelligent, hilarious, talented, generous & kind soul. He always stuck up for the underdog & went out of his way to help them. At 14, he all but shattered his nose playing recreational football and was prescribed an opioid, to which he became addicted. He hid it well for many years, until he couldn’t. After fentanyl came on scene, he tried again to quit & stayed clean for awhile, but later relapsed. Then, one of his twin sons was murdered in cold blood on Christmas Eve 2021. Chris gave up after that, and was later found in the public bathroom of a shelter in September 2023. Despite all the trauma he had endured and his addiction, Chris somehow hung onto his morals and integrity as much as possible right to the end. Our brother, as does everyone who suffered with addiction, deserves to be honoured as the human beings they were. They are loved. There's a story behind their deaths. Let's help those who are still here by supporting the recovery houses that teach them the essential tools & skills they’ll need to thrive in life - they all deserve at *least* that much. We're rooting for every one of you. We need to honour each others' lives, including the lives of those we've lost.
With all our love, Chris...💜
