My Story…
Hi, my name is Amy. I’m 22 years old and currently living at McDougall House while working on my recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Sobriety has been the hardest, but also the most rewarding, journey of my life, and I’m passionate about building a healthier future for myself.
This year, I’ve committed to running the Run for Recovery 12K. I’ve never been a runner before—but I’ve spent far too long running from my problems. Now, I’m running toward something better: hope, healing, and growth.
This run is more than just a race to me—it’s a symbol of resilience and the changes I’m making every single day. By supporting me, you’re not just helping me cross the finish line—you’re also supporting recovery, second chances, and a brighter future.
Thank you for believing in me and in the power of recovery. 💜
