A Spooktacular New Run!

Join us on Sunday October 26th for a Spooktackular new run at Bronte Creek Provincial Park! Soak up the spirit of Halloween as we raise funds for Project Soniashnyk, a program that supports the mental health of children affected by the war in Ukraine.
Run your best 5K or 10K as you enjoy the Fall colours of Bronte Creek Park. Non-runners can walk the 5K loop or take-on the 1K Fun Run with their children. There's also face painting, pumpkin decorating and a host of other attractions in the park. Dogs are welcomed too!
Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Wear orange, purple or black if you have it. Prizes awarded for fastest 5K time in a full costume (Adult Male, Adult Female, Boy and Girl under 17).
Medals will be awarded to all 5K, 10K and 1K runners and walkers. Prizes for top finishers by age bracket and gender for 5K and 10K runs.
The Haunted Hustle 5K / 10K / 1K Run is a fundraising event, with 100% of net proceeds and donations provided to a worthy cause. This year our goal is to raise $30,000 for mental health support programs for children in Ukraine, including $15,000 in direct donations.
Project Soniashnyk is a non-profit organization that hosts recreational rehabilitation camps in the Ukraine for children whose parents are active or fallen members their Armed Forces. In addition to traditional camp activities, the program provides trauma therapy and mental health support for children impacted by the war. Therapy and support continues throughout the year via group and individual counselling.
Project Soniashnyk is a designated fund of the BCU Foundation.
Voluntary donations can be made as your register to run or walk. You can also can create a fundraising team and set a fundraising goal. Race Roster has all the tools you need to make it easy! Tax receipts will be issued for all donations over $20.
All runners or walkers that raise over $200 earn a Technical Running Shirt.
PLUS, the first $5,000 in donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by a private sponsor. Help us turn $5,000 into $10,000 to help kids in need in Ukraine!
The first 200 registered runners/walkers that make a donation to Project Soniashnyk will receive a Halloween Beanie in appreciation of their support. Beanies will be distributed on Race Day. Colours and designs available on 'first-come' basis.

VIRTUAL 5K and 10K Runs - How to Upload Your time
Track your virtual 5K or 10K run time (only) and submit your results for the Haunted Hustle using the ASICS Runkeeper™ app:
- From your mobile device, go to your Race Roster dashboard for this event
- Click on the “Connect to my app” button, where you will be asked to confirm your name within the app (confirm your name and the event will be added to your app)
- Revisit the Runkeeper™ app when you are ready to participate. From your start screen, click the flag symbol (bottom right) and select the race to start recording.
- Complete your distance and save the activity. Your results will be automatically posted to the Race Roster leaderboard
- From the results page, click on your name to see your finisher summary
Or, use your Race Roster Dashboard to submit your results without Runkeeper app :
- First log into your participant dashboard.
- Go to the virtual results page: Results - Race Roster
- Click the submit a virtual result button
- Enter your time it took you to complete the race and submit your results.
All 1K, 5K and 10K runners / walkers that live in Canada will have their race medal mailed to them at no additional charge. Runners and walkers living outside of Canada can receive a race medal if they agree to cover the cost of international postage.
