Volunteer Halloween Race
Volunteer at the 2025 Frightening 5K and Terrifying 10K!
If you would like to volunteer for this year's race please fill out the volunteer registration form and someone from our team will be in touch with you a few weeks before the race. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email amitoz@vrpro.ca
Volunteers will be assigned based on where we need people the most. Please indicate your preferences when signing up. We will do our best to match you to your preferred role, however, adjustments may need to be made so that we can fill all required positions.
Race Date: Saturday, October 25th, 2025
Location: The Discovery Centre, 57 Discovery Dr, Hamilton, L8L 8K4
Course Marshal (Outside along the race route)
Course marshals play an extremely important role during the race by helping to direct participants along the route. You can also cheer the runners on as they pass by. All course marshals will be transported to their location and picked up from their location.
Time: Volunteers are needed from 8AM - 1:00PM.
Water Stations (Outside along the race route)
Most water stations are staffed by organized groups, but we do need a few extra volunteers to support some of these locations. Water station volunteers will be handing out water to the runners along the race route. There will be 2 water stations along the route.
Time: Volunteers are needed from 8AM - 1:00PM.
Finish Line Volunteers (Outside near start/finish line)
Finish line volunteers will assist with the following roles as needed at the finish line
- Handing out medals to the runners
- Handing out fruit and water to the runners
- Helping at the waste sorting station
Time: Volunteers are needed from 8AM - 1:00PM.
Volunteers will be contacted with their confirmed assigned positions before race day.
