My Story…
This year, I’m proud to be participating in the Run for Sobriety, a powerful event that brings together individuals who believe in recovery, resilience, and the importance of mental health. But this run is about more than crossing a finish line.
Mental health and addiction are often intertwined. Many people who struggle with substance use are also battling depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health challenges. I’ve seen firsthand how devastating that cycle can be, and how hard it is to break without proper support.
The Canadian Mental Health Association plays a vital role in that future. They offer critical support, education, advocacy, and services to help individuals navigate the complex journey of mental health and addiction. They make sure people don’t have to suffer in silence or try to recover alone.
Your donation to the CMHA through my Run for Sobriety campaign will directly support mental health programs that save lives. You’ll be helping someone get the counseling they need, find a recovery group, or simply feel seen and understood for the first time in a long time.
