This is the fourth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run which raises funds to support the Valley Zoo Development Society. Last year, this family friendly run raised funds to adopt the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits, as well as sponsor a wolf paw at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Adopting an exhibit provides funds for improved habitats and enrichment materials and sponsoring the wolf paw was supporting the build of a brand new exhibit for the arctic wolves.
The run will start and end in the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater! This run has a distance for the whole family to enjoy and features a toddler loop, 1 km, 2 km and 5 km route. Not in Edmonton, but still want to participate? This year we are introducing a Virtual option - your choice to run 1, 2 or 5 km. All virtual participants will receive the same custom designed finisher gift in the mail.
