My Story…
Every day, I hear the stories of the clients at Carlington Community Health Centre. These stories are a powerful reminder that homelessness doesn’t happen overnight — it often develops slowly over time, when people face barriers like social isolation, financial strain, and lack of access to care. Homelessness is not just a personal struggle; it is a reflection of systemic gaps in our healthcare and social support systems.
Working alongside the front-line health promotors, nurses, physicians, and counsellors-- I see firsthand how these challenges can slowly push someone toward homelessness. It is these realities that push me, and the team, to take action every single day.
Let's do this together.
