RACE MECHANICS
Sunnies Run is open to all interested participants.
AGE LIMIT
For 10K, participants must be 16 years and above
For 5K and 3K participants must be 13 years and above; kids 12 years old and below will be allowed to run provided a parent or guardian accompanies him or her.
Participants below the age of 18 must seek their parental/guardian consent and fill up the entry form that the parent/guardian is required to sign.

SAFETY
Participants must follow the instructions of all event officials (staff and volunteers). For participants’ safety, no skates, strollers, or animals except dogs for the dog category are permitted. Costumes covering the face, or any bulky outfit extending beyond the perimeter of the body, are not permitted.
RUNRIO reserves the right to change the details of the event, including delaying, canceling, or suspending the race due to inclement weather or other potential safety risks. Participants must retire at once from the race if ordered to do so by event officials, medical staff, or any governmental authority, including firefighters and police officers.
SPORTSMANSHIP
Any participant who conducts him/herself in an unsportsmanlike manner or who is offensive in action or language to event officials, other participants, volunteers, or spectators may be disqualified.
Protests related to results will be entertained for up to one (1) hour after the posting of results. All protests should be made in writing and submitted to the event officials or sent to info@runrio.com. A non-refundable protest fee amounting to P5,000 is required. Verbal protests will not be entertained.
ENTRY FORM
All participants must provide accurate information, including age, gender, and emergency contact information when filling out the event application form. It is strongly recommended that the closest family member who is in Manila should be written as the emergency contact person. Requests for information changes will not be accepted once the event has started.
Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.
RACE NUMBER
Your official race number (bib) must be fully visible at all times and worn in front. The reverse side of the race number must be duly filled up. It should contain the emergency contact number of the closest family member who is in Manila. If your race number is lost, you will have to register again. Runners without the official race number will not be allowed to run.
Race numbers are non-transferable. You cannot give or sell your race number to another person. A participant who does not wear his or her assigned race number, or who is found to have transferred, bought, sold, or otherwise permitted any other individual to wear his or her race number, will be disqualified and suspended from subsequent RUNRIO races.
THE START
Participants are responsible for arriving at the start line corral on time. Any participant who climbs over a barricade or otherwise enters improperly may be disqualified. For participant safety, once a corral is closed for entry, late arriving participants must report to the next available corral. Participants who do not start within 15 minutes from the respective flag-off will be disqualified and may not be allowed to start. No result will be given to disqualified participants.
TOP FINISHERS
Top finishers will be determined by gun time (the time from the starting horn until the runner crosses the finish line).
THE COURSE
Participants must stay within course boundaries, as designated by barriers, traffic cones, delineation, and/or other markings, at all times. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. No participant, after leaving the course, will be allowed to rejoin the race either to get the finisher’s freebies or to pace or assist another competitor.
Unofficial pacers or other unregistered participants are not permitted. (This does not apply to officially designated pacers.) A participant who receives assistance during an event from anyone other than official medical personnel may be disqualified.
THE FINISH
In the interest of safety, and to allow the reopening of streets as scheduled, race courses will be closed after the following designated cut-off times.
PROHIBITED ITEMS:
A weapon of any kind, including firearms, knives, Mace, etc.
Any dangerous item that could be considered dangerous, including hammers, saws, sharp objects, etc.
Flammable liquids, fuels, fireworks, toxic chemicals, and explosives
Large packages, coolers, tents, etc.
Sleeping bags, and large blankets or comforters
Alcoholic beverages and illegal substances of any kind
Unmanned aerial devices, drones, survey balloons, photography mini copters, and any flying device with an on/off switch.
Opaque trash bags and any non-transparent plastic bags (Clear trash bags are allowed.
Folding chairs, camp chairs, and tables of any kind
Glass containers
Containers of liquid larger than one liter
Strollers
Suitcases and rolling bags
Costumes that cover the face and any bulky outfits that extend beyond the perimeter of the body
Selfie sticks and any camera mount or rig that isn’t attached directly to the head or torso

DOG SAFETY RULES
Guidelines for 1KM Pet Run Category
All participating dogs must have updated and complete vaccination (Owner to bring actual and photocopied vaccination records).
Provide a muzzle for unfriendly dogs.
Dogs in heat are not allowed in the premises and/or to join the race.
Dogs must be kept on leash at all times.
Please be considerate and pick up after your dog’s waste.
Puppies should be at least 4 months old.
Never leave your dog unattended. Organizers will not be liable for dogs that are lost or missing during the event.
The organizers reserve the right to reject the participation of a dog that might cause disruption or disturbance in the event.
REMINDERS ON RACE DAY
Participants and dogs must be at the race venue an hour before their gun start.
There’ll be a tagging and screening at the start area that will be facilitated by race officials and vets onsite.
Dogs under medication are not allowed to join the race, but they are allowed to socialize with other dogs.
Bring the updated vaccination record of your dog upon registration and during the event.
Dogs must wear the bandana and bib to be provided upon registration.
RULE CHANGES
The race organizer may change, without prior notice, any of the rules and regulations that they may deem necessary to ensure the success of the race. The race organizer’s decision is final.

Will there be onsite registration on race day? Where? And what time?

I was not able to claim my race kit on my chosen schedule of kit claiming. Can I still claim my race kit on race day?
Yes, race kits that were not able to be picked up can be claimed during race day.
After I have successfully registered for the event, can I change my event category?
No. Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Should I choose not to take part after I’ve registered for the event, can I withdraw?
Yes. However, please note our withdrawal policy*.

Participants who chose not to take part in the event after having registered can choose to withdraw. However, please note that there will not be any registration fee refund. Race slots are also strictly non-transferable.
Is it possible to change the information I have provided after registration?
Yes. You may proceed to the Onsite registration and ask the Registration Assistant to correct your records. However, changes in your information are limited to typographical errors and change in address and contact numbers only.

Is the online registration system secure?
Yes. We use a security system consistent with the banking industry standards of the Philippines.
*Please note: Online registration with delivery entails extra costs: processing and web fee and delivery fee, on top of published registration fees.
THE PHYSICAL RACE
Where should I line up for the start of the race?
The starting line for ALL categories will be at Ayala Avenue.
Where can I leave my belongings?
Baggage deposit facilities will be made available for you. We recommend you arrive earlier than your gun time to deposit your bags to avoid delays. You must deposit your baggage/s at designated baggage deposit tents for your particular distance.
While maximum care and security will be enforced, the organizers will not be responsible for any loss or damaged items or delays in retrieving bags.
We strongly advise that you do not leave any valuables in your bags. The race organizer and any of its sponsors will not be held liable for any loss or damage to your personal items.
What happens if I am injured along the Race route?
First Aid stations can be found along the race route as well. You may also alert Route Marshals or patrolling Paramedics regarding your injury.
THE RACE ROUTE
Will there be a cut-off time for the start of the race?
ALL CATEGORIES have a start cut-off time of 15 minutes after the gun start. Runners who arrive later than 15 minutes after the gun start will no longer be allowed to start the race for safety and security reasons.
In order to ensure timely re-opening of roads to normal traffic and help ensure your safety, the race organizer will deploy an ambulance to pick up all remaining runners on the race route starting at 7:00am. By this time, all participants are encouraged to stop running and board the official vehicle. They are automatically disqualified and will be taken directly to the finish venue.
What kind of Finisher’s entitlement will I get after I complete the race?
All finishers will receive their respective loot bags and drinks after crossing the finish line. Race analysis will also be provided for each finisher of the said categories within 3 days after the race.
PARTICIPANTS
What if the race singlet does not fit me? Can I still take part in the race? Can I exchange it for a different size?
Yes, you can change it to a different size during race day. Singlet sizes are subject to availability.
What drinks will be available for us?
You can refresh yourself with water at the hydration stations.
Are walkers permitted to take part in Sunnies Run?
Yes. But should you wish to walk during the race, kindly keep to the right side of the route to allow faster competitors to pass.
Will wheelchairs, bikes, skates or strollers be allowed on the race route?
No. Instruments with built-in wheels other than those on the official vehicles will not be allowed on the race course.
SUPPORTERS
Will my family and friends be allowed to come support me at the Event?
Yes, supporters are most welcome to cheer you on anywhere along the entire race route. Please remind them to be mindful not to block the path/route that the participants run in and should also observe social distancing.
RACE AWARDS
Where and when will the Award Presentation Ceremony be held?
The Award Ceremony will be held at The Grounds on the day of the race.
TRANSPORTATION
How do I get to the race site?
The Race site is located along Ayala Triangle, Metro Manila. There are various ways to get to the race site. These are via:

Will there be road closures and parking facilities at the start and finish line?
Yes, there will be road closures. Parts of the race route on the event day will be closed to traffic. Please refer to the official road advisory in the official race guide for specific road closure timings.
Will there be available parking areas for participants?

*Bike owners are advised to bring their own bike locks. The mall will not be liable for any loss of theft.

Will there be available changing areas on race day?
Yes, there will be changing area and portalets inside the activity area.
DOG CATEGORY
Can a dog run with 2 masters?
Yes, as long as the 2nd master is registered on another category.
Can my dogs run without the leash?
All dogs should be on leash at all times.
