My Story…
I've been a dedicated St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program volunteer since 2017, sharing my passion for canine companionship with the Timmins community. My journey began with Rudy, a truly unforgettable Black Labrador, and now continues with my amazing partners, Pawley (a Sheltie) and Stetson (a Yellow Labrador). Together, we bring joy and comfort to people at the Timmins Police Service, Timmins & District Hospital, both Timmins Public Library branches, schools, long-term care homes, retirement facilities and others. We also participate in numerous community events throughout the year. Witnessing the positive impact of these gentle souls – seeing smiles, feeling the palpable relaxation – is incredibly rewarding. I became a Co-coordinator of the program in 2022 as I believe in the importance of giving back to my community. I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life, and my canine partners are the perfect facilitators for building bridges and spreading happiness.
