I’ve been practicing dentistry here in Northeastern Pennsylvania for over 20 years. What started out as Sugarman’s Dental — just one office and a big dream — has grown into Century Dental Associates, a network of nine practices serving communities all across NEPA. From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: to provide high-quality dental care in a way that makes people feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued.

I graduated magna cum laude from Temple University School of Dentistry and, before that, earned my bachelor’s in nutrition from Penn State University. Penn State is still close to my heart — I’ve been able to give back through scholarships and serve on advisory boards to support future students.

Over the years, we’ve worked hard to build more than just dental offices. We founded the NEPA Dental Assisting School to help train the next generation of dental professionals and created the Century Dental Mobile Express to bring care to people in underserved areas and treatment court programs.

One of my proudest moments has been watching my son Max follow in my footsteps into dentistry — and I look forward to the day when I get to call him not just my son, but my colleague.

 As a team, we’re also passionate about supporting our community — from scholarships and outreach programs to initiatives like the Paint Pittston Pink, which raises awareness for breast cancer and unites people for an incredible cause. Whether it's caring for patients, mentoring students, or organizing community events, we believe it’s our responsibility to be community leaders and to give back to the incredible people of NEPA who have supported us for so many years.
